This recycling service is made possible thanks to the Summit County Strong Future Initiative.

In 2018, Summit County diverted 20 percent of its waste from the landfill. Both the state and national diversion rates sit at 35 percent. Through the Strong Future initiative, Summit County Government is expanding recycling programs, such as free food scrap drop-off, to reach the community goal of 40 percent diversion by 2035.
