Where Does Your Recycling Go?
All materials recycled at the drop-off centers are transported to the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) located at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP, also the landfill) in Keystone, where they are sorted, baled, and shipped all over the United States to be made into new products. Take a tour of the SCRAP which includes recycling, compost and landfill facilities.
