Volunteers are encouraged to pick a favorite area near their home that needs attention rather than receiving an assigned area. Filled trash bags (50lbs or less) should be placed visib ly near the side of the road.
\nInstagram Contest: Community members can post a photo of their Town Clean Up experience on In stagram by May 23 for a chance to win gift cards from local businesses. On e photo entry per person. Winners will be notified by each Town after the contest has closed.

\nAbout the Film:
\nProfessional snowboarder and mountaineer Jeremy Jones has
an intimate relationship with the outdoors. It’s his escape\, his identit
y\, and his legacy. But over the course of his 45 years in the mountains\,
he’s seen things change: more extreme weather\, fewer snow days\, and eco
nomic strain on mountain towns.
Motivated by an urge to protect th e places he loves\, Jeremy sets out on a physical and philosophical journe y to find common ground with fellow outdoor people across diverse politica l backgrounds. He learns their hopes and fears while walking a mile in the ir shoes on the mountain and in the snow.
\nWith intimacy and emotio n set against breathtaking backdrops\, Purple Mountains navigates America’ s divide with a refreshing perspective: even though we may disagree about climate policy\, our shared values can unite us.
